dance floor
ISO 80, 3", f/2.8, w/flash
My first true photograph was taken with a friend's Nikon EM 35mm, deep in hills of southeastern Minnesota. It was a moment of such significance that fifteen years later, I'm still taking photographs.

Doctor's Park
Just north of Milwaukee is one of the county's most spectacular parks - Doctor's Park. What it lacks in size, the park makes up for in sheer beauty. Steep bluffs, massive log piles, ancient ravines, and a fantastic beach all contribute to the park's impressive make-up.
My friend and fellow photographer Blake and I made our way out to the park this past Saturday to get some shots. I used my film camera almost exclusively on this trip so some quality has been lost in the process of scanning the images.
All of these pictures were taken with a 24mm wide angle f/2.8 lens.

Photo Bars: Part II
It's been a while since I posted any of my photo bars so I thought I'd post a few new ones from my repertoire. I realize that two of the bars are strikingly similar to two photographs from the previous post, but I guess that's more or less the point of the photo bar... to crop a previous photograph in an attempt to make an entirely new composition by taking out most of its original elements.
Michigan Morning, Milwaukee
Birds and Branches, Milwaukee
Watched I the Moon, Milwaukee
Light Discs, Milwaukee
Urban Trail, Milwaukee
Crazy Christmas, Hartland
