Marsupial Bridge

This past Fall, the 650-foot-long Holton Viaduct Marsupial Bridge opened up in Milwaukee. The new bridge is suspended above the Milwaukee River and hangs underneath the existing Holton Viaduct Bridge, carrying pedestrians from Brady Street to Commerce Street in the Brewer's Hill neighborhood of Milwaukee. The bridge is remarkably polished from end to end and is an amazing sight, particularly at night.

The combination of wood, stained concrete, and lighting works well together:
Interesting feeling when you're cradled in the "pouch" of another bridge:
The original bridge's steel girders are a solidly imposing sight:
On a wood bench anchoring the bridge's south side, strange light discs:
Light discs, again:

Black and White City

For the past couple weeks I've kept my digital camera on the shelf and instead opted for film. Out of the photos I took, my favorites have been scanned in but a lot of the picture quality's been lost in the transition from paper to screen. Hopefully you'll still enjoy!

A Cullen Christmas

I know that I'm way late with posting my pictures from last Christmas but I guess it's better late than never! Enjoy!
