My first true photograph was taken with a friend's Nikon EM 35mm, deep in hills of southeastern Minnesota. It was a moment of such significance that fifteen years later, I'm still taking photographs.

milwaukee stars

This photograph was taken at the very tip of the McKinley Marina breakwater, about a mile out into Lake Michigan. The star effect was made from a Cokin 8-point star filter screwed onto the end of my lens.
